About the event
The MLK Children’s Breakfast, hosted by Shanna Ward, is a special community event honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while also celebrating the life and legacy of John T. Ward, abolitionist, Underground Railroad conductor, and the inspiration behind the Let Ward Do It! children’s books series. The event provides a free, nourishing breakfast for children and free children’s books while supplies last, promoting literacy, history, and opportunity for young readers.
