Little John T. Ward: Breakfast, Books and Freedom Stories

Join us for a joyful morning celebrating literacy, history, and community! This free children’s event features breakfast, a take-home book, and a special introduction to Little John T. Ward and the Railroad Codes—a children’s book series inspired by the real-life legacy of John T. Ward, an Underground Railroad conductor and community leader.

Through storytelling, shared meals, and imagination, children will learn how courage, kindness, and knowledge helped guide people to freedom—and how books can light the way forward today. This event is about nourishing young minds, honoring Black history, and planting seeds of pride, curiosity, and confidence in the next generation.
